Jan 13 Update

By Val

Hello All,

For some reason, I have had so much trouble with my blogs “disappearing” since yesterday.  Have worked couple hours writing and posting px over past 2 nights, and again, erased.  Part of the joys of learning this application, I guess.

Anyhow, I will post brief note since time to get ready for tomorrow.

Monday 11 Jan – Internship officially started.  Went with all (35) to Jericho that day to Prophet’s House which I wrote about in previous blog.  Also went that day with Karen to meet with the Israeli Army to firm up plans for the group to go to Jordan River for baptism on Tues.  That was interesting.

From there, met rest of team at PHouse.  Was a lovely afternoon at that location and wonderful to worship in the house with those from different streams, and some new and not so new Muslim Born Believers from Jericho.

Tues 12 Jan – To the Jordan with a bus load for a day at the Jordan River.  A wonderful experience was had by all.  Thankful for a warm day as the river water was very cold.  It was quite a bit to even consider that Jesus Himself was baptized very near the spot where we were dunked.  Had a powerful encounter with the Lord on the way back to Jerusalem from Jericho, for which I am grateful

Wed 13 Jan – To the church this morning, as is normally the case Mon – Fri to worship and pray for 1 – 2 1/2 hours then we listened to a pastor from Connecticut who has come to teach on healing, etc.  Was a good time.  We will be holding a healing meeting for those in the Muslim community, primarily, on Friday who are in need of healing.

We came back to the house for lunch, then all went to the Old City where we visited the Upper Room, Via Delorosa (sp?), the Western Wall and Stephen’s Gate, where he was martyred.  We also saw a few other sites.  Worshipped for a while near Zion’s Gate on Mt. Zion (all in the same area).  Was a blessed day.
